Costume/make up comments

Costume List- Fake Blood
Wrecked Clothes
Eye Liner(Dark Eyes)

Location- The locations we have test shots of are suitable as they are similar to the ones in the images which tend to be abandoned urban settings or urban settings with things like blood and chaos everywhere and we have an urban setting so we will not need to change the location that we have planed to shoot at

Actors- the actors we have chosen suit the zombies seen in the images , seeing as all zombie films seem to have a diverse range of zombies so we will make sure that our actors vary in age and gender so that they comply with these normal conventions they also seem to vary in size between people.

this video shows us how to make fake blood and this is important to us because many of our costume designs will involve fake blood especially with the high number of zombies we plan to have fake blood will become essential

INFECTION

EXT. DESERTED STREET - DAY
The scene is silent, faint unnatural howls can be heard in the wind, there is no sign of life.

SURVIVOR 1 (O.C.):
(Screams)

--Three SURVIVORS run on scene around a corner into an alleyway, their faces clearly visible, fear in their eyes. Two ZOMBIES, giving chase in an animalistic manner, closely pursue them.

--The SURVIVORS emerge from the other side of the alley way and run down a deserted street.

SURVIVOR 2:
Quick! This way!

--ZOMBIES emerge from the alleyway and briefly check their surroundings before continuing their hunt.

ZOMBIES 1 & 2:
(Snarls and grotesque heavy breathing)

--SURVIVORS come to a gateway and run through, ZOMBIES in close pursuit.

--SURVIVORS make their way into an open field, running along a path cutting through the grass. They are seen by other groups of ZOMBIES littered around the edges of the field.

SURVIVOR 3:
Shit!

--ZOMBIES begin snarling and growling at the SURVIVORS.

INFECTION

SURVIVOR 3:
We have to keep moving!

--The small ZOMBIE horde begins to close in behind the SURVIVORS.

SURVIVOR 1:
(Screams)

--One of the SURVIVORS trips and falls to the ground.

SURVIVOR 1:
(Hysterical) HELP!

--The other SURVIVORS turn to help but are too late.

SURVIVOR 1:
(Screams hysterically)

--ZOMBIES eat SURVIVOR 1 alive, guts and gore can be seen being thrown about as the body is torn apart in the frenzy.

Kyle Cooper is a modern title sequence designer and director, he has worked on multiple well known title sequences including the spiderman film and, most notably, se7en.
Main comments we picked up on:
  • The title sequence creates the audiences expectations of the film, it sets the expectation.
  • Use the title sequence as a prologue/to set up the story.
  • Using 'handmade' 'imperfect' ways to create sequences.
  • Title sequence inspirations; The Dead Zone (1983), To Kill a Mocking Bird (1962), Walk on The Wild Side (1962)

True Blood Title Sequence

The opening sequence for True Blood contains many clips that refer to the themes of the show such as predatory nature and religion etc. There is also a focus on teeth and red colours, again alluding the vampire theme of the show.

Se7en Title Sequence

The title sequence from Se7en creates suspense up to the main film, it shows the activities of the killer in-between killings creating a scrapbook of his murders. The music also slowly builds up throughout the duration of the sequence and adds to the building suspense.  The cuts in the sequence are also very erratic giving it an unstable look, possibly reflecting the nature of the villain.
