FINAL FILM!

Here is our finished horror film, we have removed the original audio from the shoot because at some point during editing it went out of sync with the image for unknown reasons.
Video self evaluation mark:

  • Needs greater variety of shot distances
  • Has editing flaws with sound, no diegetic audio
  • Some shot transitions could be cut better (could have more precise editing)
  • Good continuity
  • Music fits with the genre and the scene
  • Contains material appropriate to our target audience
Overall Mark: 38

Production logo

This is our production logo for our film, we've used a background image that relates to our sub-genre and a font that connotes violence and gore, which is also parallel with our genre.

Re-shoot fail

After doing our we re-shoots and reviewing our footage on a mac we found that the new footage had been corrupted in some way, regardless we are continuing to edit our original footage and developing our soundtrack for it.

Horror Film first shoot feedback

Here is our feedback from the viewing of our first shoot by other students.

From our feedback we can that most people enjoyed the suspense we created with our use of non-diagetic sounds. They also thought that the use of props and make -up was done to a good degree and quality giving a more realistic feeling.

Re-shoots

After editing and reviewing our footage we have decided it will be necessary to re-shoot some of our footage, we will be doing our re-shoots on the 24th and 25th of march. The main reasons these re-shoots are necessary is because we need more close ups, shot-reverse-shots and more angles on certain shots
